Blichmann alternative

The Blichmann brand now belongs to MoreBeer’s parent company, and most Blichmann systems and kettles are listed as unavailable. If you were about to buy a BrewEasy, BoilerMaker or Fermenator, or you own Blichmann gear and need parts, here is the closest equipment we make and the standard parts that fit.

In 2026 MoreFlavor, the parent company of MoreBeer, bought selected assets of the Blichmann and Anvil brands. MoreBeer says it “did not assume prior warranty obligations or liabilities” and will help with parts and support where it can. blichmannengineering.com now forwards to MoreBeer, and the remaining Blichmann inventory in Lafayette, Indiana was auctioned from September 18 to 30, 2026.

What you can still buy from Blichmann

On October 7, 2026, MoreBeer listed every BrewEasy system, every BoilerMaker G2 kettle size, the RipTide pump and the BrewCommander controller as unavailable. Of the G4 Fermenators, only the 14 gallon could be ordered. The Therminator was in stock, and MoreBeer lists a separate collection of Blichmann spare parts. Stock changes quickly after a sale like this, so check with MoreBeer for the latest.

If you already own Blichmann gear

Blichmann used standard 1.5" tri-clamp ports on the G4 Fermenator, the tri-clamp kettles and the tri-clamp RipTide, and 1/2" NPT ports on its NPT kettles. Standard parts fit those ports:

Part Fits
Butterfly valves 1.5" and 2" tri-clamp ports
Sample valve 1.5" tri-clamp
Thermowell 1.5" tri-clamp
Pressure gauge 1.5" tri-clamp
Spunding valve and relief valve 1.5" tri-clamp. Keep the setting within your tank’s rating; the G4 is listed at 15 psi.
3-piece stainless ball valve 1/2" NPT kettle ports
Tri-clamp to female NPT and tri-clamp to male NPT adapters Move NPT gear onto tri-clamp, or the other way round
BR-32 brew pump 1.5" tri-clamp in and out
Counterflow wort chiller 1.5" tri-clamp

Blichmann-only parts are different: QuickConnector couplers, the Linear Flow valve, the BrewMometer, BoilCoil plugs and cords, snap-in dip tubes, size-specific false bottoms, lids, V-band clamps, the G4 aseptic valve and the controller cables. Buy those from MoreBeer while they are in stock. Not sure something fits? Send us a photo of the port with a tape measure across it, and we’ll tell you.

FAQ

Is Blichmann Engineering out of business?

The brand lives on under MoreBeer. MoreFlavor, MoreBeer’s parent company, bought selected Blichmann and Anvil assets in 2026; blichmannengineering.com now forwards to MoreBeer, and the remaining Blichmann inventory was auctioned in September 2026. MoreBeer has said that not every product will continue.

What happens to my Blichmann warranty?

MoreBeer says MoreFlavor “did not assume prior warranty obligations or liabilities” for products sold before the sale, and that it will help with parts, manuals and troubleshooting where it can. Contact MoreBeer for anything under the old warranty.

Will your parts fit my Blichmann gear?

Standard tri-clamp and NPT parts fit standard tri-clamp and NPT ports of the same size. Blichmann-only parts, like the Linear Flow valve, BrewMometer and BoilCoil, do not. Send us a photo if you are not sure.

What is the closest match to a BrewEasy?

For the BrewEasy Compact, a single kettle with a basket, the Unibräu. For the two-vessel BrewEasy, the BräuPro Homebrewing, which also ferments the batch in the vessel it boiled in.

Is Bräu Supply still making equipment?

Yes. Every system, kettle and fermenter on this page is in production in Vancouver, with a 2-year warranty and lifetime parts support. See how we compare with other brands on our Ss Brewtech, Spike Solo and Clawhammer pages.
