All-in-one electric brewing systems compared
Six all-in-one electric brewing systems, side by side: batch size, power on 120V and 240V, price, what's in the box, how they're built and how long they're covered.
Six brands sell electric all-in-one brewing systems in North America right now, from a US$384 Anvil Foundry to a US$2,634 Spike Solo with a bottom drain. We make one of them, the Unibräu, so we've stuck to published facts: every competitor number below comes from the maker's or a retailer's listing on October 7, 2026, with sources at the bottom.
An all-in-one (single-vessel) system mashes and boils in one electric kettle: the grain sits in a basket, a pump recirculates the wort, and you lift the basket out before the boil.

What matters when you compare
Power on 120V
One standard 15 A outlet gives you about 1,600 W, so every 120V all-in-one heats slowly and tops out around a 5 gallon batch. The Unibräu 120V can add a second 1,650 W element on another 15 A circuit for 3,300 W without moving to 240V. The BrewZilla 35 L needs a 20 A circuit, and the Spike Solo runs its 5,500 W element at 1,350 W on 120V. For 10 gallons and up, plan on 240V. Our electrical calculator works out the breaker and wire.
What you'll still need to buy
Grainfather, BrewZilla and Clawhammer include a pump and a chiller. The Unibräu includes the pump, and the chiller is an add-on. The Anvil Foundry includes a chiller, but the pump is extra, and the Spike Solo sells both separately. Add those in before you compare prices.
Steel and fittings
Only Bräu Supply, Spike and Grainfather publish their kettle wall thickness. Ours is 1.0 to 1.2 mm; Grainfather lists 0.5 mm on the G30 and 0.8 mm on the G40 and G70. Tri-clamp fittings (Unibräu, Spike) are standard sanitary parts that any supplier sells; brand-specific fittings mean buying replacements from that brand.
Controls
If you want to load a recipe and let an app run a step mash, Grainfather and BrewZilla do that, and the Unibräu doesn't. Our SV1 and SV2 are set-a-temperature controllers with no programming, built to be repaired with standard parts.
Warranty, and who stands behind it
Warranties run from 1 year (Spike, Clawhammer) to 3 years (Grainfather) and 5 years from KegLand in Australia on the 35 and 65 L. Ours is 2 years, plus lifetime parts support. Also check that the company will be around: Ss Brewtech is closing, and Blichmann and Anvil now belong to MoreBeer's parent company, which did not take on warranties for gear sold before the sale (see our Blichmann page).
Which one fits you?
- Lowest price, 5 gallon batches on 120V: BrewZilla 35 L, or an Anvil Foundry 10.5 when it's back in stock.
- App control, step mashes and recipe import: Grainfather or BrewZilla.
- Pump and chiller in one price: Clawhammer or Grainfather.
- Bigger batches, heavier steel, tri-clamp throughout and a controller you can repair: the Unibräu, in 10, 20 or 30 gallons, with a bottom-drain version.
- Brew and ferment in the same vessel: the Unibräu All-In.

FAQ
What is an all-in-one electric brewing system?
One electric kettle that does the mash and the boil. The grain sits in a basket inside the kettle, a pump recirculates the wort through it, and you lift the basket out before you boil. It replaces the three vessels (hot liquor tank, mash tun, boil kettle) of a traditional setup.
Can I brew 10 gallons on 120V?
Slowly. One 15 A outlet gives about 1,600 W, which is fine for 5 gallons but takes a long time to bring 10 gallons to a boil. The Unibräu 120V can run a second element on another 15 A circuit for 3,300 W; otherwise plan on a 240V, 30 A circuit for 10 gallon batches.
Which all-in-one makes the biggest batches?
Of the systems here, the Unibräu 30 gallon (about 15 to 18 gallons into the fermenter), the BrewZilla 100 L (15 to 20 gallons, per MoreBeer) and the Grainfather G70 (up to 60 L, about 16 gallons).
Do I need a wort chiller?
Yes. Chilling quickly after the boil protects the beer and gets you to pitching temperature the same day. Check whether one is included: see "What's in the box" above.
