MCED Compact Glycol Chiller-Dawn

Two models on a shared 2,750 BTU refrigeration architecture. BEF-02 is single-pump with mechanical thermostat — built for homebrew Unitanks and short draught-line installs. BEF-04 steps up to multi-pump expansion (1/3 HP motor + pump kit per additional fermenter loop), digital Chiller Watch controller with alarm relay, and the build for 2–4 fermenters or 1 BBL pilot work.

Both run on standard 120V / 15A plug, low-GWP R513a refrigerant, hermetic compressor, copper-tube evaporator submerged in a propylene glycol bath. Sanitary 1/2" NPT supply and return. Manufactured in Canada by MCED Systems.

For brewers running glycol-cooled fermentation in a Unitank, building toward pilot scale, or specifying a chiller into an existing tri-clamp brewhouse. Glycol fluid sold separately — food-safe propylene glycol only (never ethylene), mixed to ~30% of total system volume.
