The DrainPro Mash Tun – 30G is Bräu Supply’s dedicated mash vessel for electric brewing systems. Designed specifically for mashing and lautering at higher batch volumes, it features a true bottom drain paired with a precision-fit stainless steel false bottom (included) to promote even wort collection, efficient runoff, and minimal liquid retention.

Built from mirror-polished 304 stainless steel with laser-etched internal volume markings, silicone-coated handles, and welded stainless steel legs, the DrainPro 30G Mash Tun integrates cleanly into modern tri-clamp–based brewing systems and is optimized for consistent mash performance in pilot-scale and small-production environments.

Overview

The DrainPro 30G Mash Tun is engineered for controlled mash hydration, stable recirculation, and clean lautering. The dished bottom geometry directs wort toward the center drain while supporting a low-profile false bottom, reducing liquid retention beneath the grain bed and improving extraction efficiency across larger grain bills.

A welded tri-clamp port layout supports continuous recirculation, temperature monitoring, and controlled runoff. When paired with a pump-driven vorlauf, the DrainPro Mash Tun delivers clear wort to the boil kettle without channeling or grain bed compaction.

Dead Space & Lautering Efficiency

Mash tun “dead space” is not a fixed value—it varies based on mash thickness, grain crush, false bottom fit, recirculation rate, and runoff method. Rather than publishing a single number that can be misleading, the DrainPro Mash Tun is engineered to minimize residual wort through vessel geometry and component design.

The dished bottom directs wort toward the center drain, allowing the false bottom to sit low in the vessel while maintaining even flow beneath the grain bed. Combined with continuous vorlauf, this promotes efficient wort collection and reduces liquid retention under normal operating conditions.

In practice, brewers achieve high lauter efficiency and clean runoff without needing to compensate for excessive dead space.
