Steam Condenser

Steam Condenser for Indoor Brewing & Controlled Boils

Designed for indoor electric brewing, the Bräu Supply Steam Condenser captures and condenses boil-off steam back into liquid, dramatically reducing moisture, odors, and condensation in enclosed spaces.

It mounts to an upper tri-clamp port and integrates cleanly with Bräu Supply 10G and 20G kettles, Unibräu systems, and BräuPro or HERMS-based brewing setups—without affecting wort quality or boil performance when properly configured.

Design & Installation

  • Upper-port mounting — Installs directly onto a kettle’s upper tri-clamp port for simple, secure attachment.
  • Water-cooled mixing nozzle — Cold water is introduced internally to rapidly condense steam back into liquid form.
  • 304 stainless steel construction — Durable, corrosion-resistant, and fully suitable for brewing environments.

Operation Notes

  • Water supply — Connect to a standard tap water source during the boil.
  • Drainage — Route condensate to a sink or open container (e.g., a 5-gallon pail).
  • Flow control — Use the lowest effective water flow required to eliminate visible steam.
  • Boil volume management — Maintain wort level below the condenser port to prevent boil spray or carryover.
  • Discharge tubing — Keep the drain line open—do not submerge or create traps that could restrict flow.
  • Controller integration — When using EZboil or similar power controllers, reduce output as needed to prevent boil-overs while the condenser is operating.

Boil-Off & Recipe Considerations

Using a steam condenser reduces boil-off compared to an open boil. Expect approximately 25% less volume loss, depending on water flow and boil intensity.

Recipes may require minor adjustments to target volumes or boil duration. Once dialed in, most brewers find no further changes are needed.
