I had been looking and researching home brewing equipment for well over a year wanting to make the right call. I was looking for a system rather than individual items to make up my requirements.
After a great deal of research on different equipment I kept coming back to the Brau supply Brau-pro system, every thing I was requiring was all here in one package, time to dive in and make the purchase.
I spoke on the phone to Steven with a few questions I had about the system which he answered fully and confidently, I decided to place the order with him on the phone.
The equipment arrived very well packaged and in great condition, the fit and finish of every item was well made and very very shiny, the mash kettle and fermenter were finished to such a high level I immediately new I had made the right decision.
Setting up the system was an absolute pleasure, every thing fitted together with no problems at all. After assembly (there really is not much), I thoroughly cleaned it all with PBW and well rinsed with clean water.
For my 1st brew day against all advice that I should start with an easy, straight forward beer I went for a full blown all grain west coast IPA. the temp controller 240v brought the water up to temp for mashing in very swiftly, mash in and the rest of the whole process went smoothly with no issues .Once Id transferred to for fermenter I was able to do a one hour boil, with my hop additions plus whirlpool with hop additions. I also had a seven day dry hop all went very well.
After two weeks in the fermenter I completed an oxygen free transfer to my kegs, The final result from my kegerator is just fantastic, I'm thrilled at the results I have had. The whole system worked flawlessly throughout the whole process.
One final note, I've never brewed beer in my life, this was my 1st attempt and I feel that other than beginners luck I owe a lot to steven and the YouTube videos that are clear and easy to follow.
