Our new BR series magnetic drive pumps are high temperature pumps capable of pumping hot wort at temperatures up to 120ºC (248ºF). The pump body is a powder coated steel, and unlike a chugger pump these pumps are sealed, giving you IP44 protection which is perfect for the wet surroundings of a brewery. They are outfitted with 1/2" male NPT fittings and 6' power cords with a standard North American 5-15 plug. The operation is silent, and the head and flow is shocking. We mean that in a good way! These pumps do not require any lubricants, thus eliminating the risk of liquid contamination. They also come with a steel mounting plate for permanent installation, and a 150cm (5') power cord. The pump head is serviceable, and can be mounted in any direction to suit your application. We feel that for your money, these robust durable pumps are absolutely the BEST value you can find.
These pumps are offered in 2 sizes and in 120V and 240V:
BR19-1 is outfitted with a 304 stainless steel pump head. The impeller is polysulphone and it can pump up to 19L (5 gallons) per minute. The max head is 3.4m (11 feet), and the pump draw is 0.1A. Dimensions are 19cm (7.5") x 8cm (3.25") and the weight is 1.8kg (4lb).
BR19-2 has exactly the same specs as BR19-1, but is offered in 240V. Please note that the pump is sold with a clipped head and the user will need to source and wire a plug to the bare cord end.
Compare to Chugger Pump:
I purchased this pump specifically to transfer hot liquor to the sparge arm and the sparging of grain in my Unibrau 20-gallon system. This past Saturday, I got to put it to the test and it performed flawlessly and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. It's always great when a product performs as desired.
Love the pump! Emailed about delivery. Could not be happier with service received. Thank you
The pump moves a good volume at a good pressure. It’s very quiet. Bust pump I have ever bought.
Tested and found it is very quiet and powerful. Pumps 3X more wort than my Grainfather pump almost half the price.
I will never go back to a chugger after using this pump for one Brew. It's silent, powerful, and can apparently run dry. Great little pump.
